Scott has been a Coos Bay police officer for 6 years.
Prior to becoming a police officer in Coos Bay, he work as a Corrections Officer with the Oregon Department of Corrections, was a police officer in Kansas City, Missouri and, was in the United States Navy.  Scott is 35 years old, married to Theresa with 2 boys, 11 and 10 years old and 1 daughter, 7 years old.  In addition to Scott’s regular patrol duties he is Survival Skills Instructor, Simmunitions Instructor, Field Training Officer, and a bicycle patrol officer.  

When not working, Scott spends his free time with his family on a variety of excursions. Some of his hobbies include softball, swimming and fishing.  Scott hopes that by going to the U.K. that he will be able to bring back to Coos Bay another perspective of police work and see if it could be applied locally.
