Robert has been a Coos Bay police officer for 15 years and is currently assigned as a patrol sergeant. He is 37 years old and is married to Tammy and they have a 15 year old 17 lbs. diabetic cat named “Bud”. He has enjoyed all of his policing assignments which include D.A.R.E. and school resource officer, Explorer scout advisor, bicycle patrol officer, and Safety Town instructor.

Robert enjoys spending time with his family and participating in all of the outdoor activities the south coast of Oregon provides. Some of his hobbies include water skiing, working on vintage cars, motorcycling, and working around the house. He enjoys staying fit by working out at the gym and running. He has competed in marathons, half marathons, and several 10K’s. Most recently, he has become more active in biking and swimming to prepare for a triathlon.

Robert looks at the Coos Bay to UK trip as a tremendous opportunity and challenge. He is looking forward to representing the Coos Bay police department, learning and about policing in the UK, and seeing all the sights. Riding a bicycle across the country will be a great challenge and give him an opportunity to trade in his running shoes for awhile. He knows this will be a great experience and is looking forward to meeting back up with Neil, Tony, Jeff, Chris and Matthew better known as the “Bobby on a Bike” team.
