Randy has been a police officer in Oregon for 19 years and has been with the Coos Bay Police Department since 1998. Randy is married to his wife of 16 years, Cindy, and they have two sons, 13 year old Christopher and 11 year old Joseph. Christopher and Joseph have been riding with Randy on many of his training rides.

  Randy served in the US Navy Submarine Service before entering law enforcement profession. Randy has worked as a patrol officer, detective, and is currently serving as a patrol officer. Randy also serves as a field training officer for new recruits and a defensive tactics instructor with Scott Rogers. Randy and Mark Ereth are coordinators of the reserve police officer program for the Coos Bay Police Department.

 At 45 years old, Randy is the oldest of the officers training for the Coos Bay to UK ride. Randy’s goal is to prove the younger officers that growing older does not necessarily mean you have to grow wiser.
